The Yellow River originates from the Bayankala Mountains in Qinghai and flows eastwards. It winds and twists and turns and merges with the Baihe River in Tangke Township, Ruoergai County, Sichuan, forming the first major bend of the magnificent Nine Bends of the Yellow River. It faces Gansu Province across the river.
